The Hillsborough County Medical Association (HCMA) is a membership
organization of the physicians and medical student of Hillsborough County.
The HCMA Foundation, Inc. is the charitable arm of the HCMA.
The HCMA Foundation is a network of physicians and local businesses
dedicated to enriching our community. Partnership with the Tampa Bay
business community is a fundamental goal of the HCMA, the HCMA Alliance,
and the HCMA Foundation; and has been an essential component for success
of the Foundation Charity Golf Classic, the Foundation’s major fundraiser.
Due to the success of the Charity Golf Classic we have been proud to fund programs through such organization as:
- The Brandon Outreach Clinic – medical care for the uninsured
- The Judeo Christian Health Clinic – medical assistance for the uninsured
- The Juvenile Diabetes Foundation – “Walk to Cure Diabetes” sponsor
- MoreHealth – health education for elementary students
- Oasis Network – provides necessities to underserved children in Hillsborough County schools
- St. Joseph’s Children’s Advocacy Center
- Self Reliance/Project Independence – purchase and repair medical equipment
- Voices for Children/Guardian Ad Litem
We have also been able to award scholarships through the HCMA Alliance Evelyn Shaver Scholarship fund. The Scholarships are awarded to allied
healthcare profession students who need tuition assistance.
The HCMA Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization which provides cash grants to non-profit organizations in the Tampa Bay area for programs
designed to promote awareness and support of health and health related issues in Hillsborough County, Florida and surrounding areas.
